In early September of 2008, Dr. Robert Thurman graciously granted Dharma TV an hour-long interview on his book, Why the Dalai Lama Matters. In this remarkable book, Dr. Thurman presents not only an in-depth history and discussion of His Holiness the Dalai Lama and his predecessors, but makes a bold suggestion of five steps that could be taken by His Holiness and the Chinese government to resolve the Tibetan crisis for the benefit of all.
